lo que me tira cuando hago sudo grub-install /dev/sda es:

qué hago?

*nota: lo que me están diciendo que ponga en la terminal como por ejemplo instalar el grub de vuelta se hace desde Ubuntu o desde el modo live del cd de Ubuntu?

Arrancá Ubuntu desde el disco, no desde el CD.

Ahí haces:

sudo grub-install  /dev/sda

y luego

sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst

y agregas un "#"  delante de la línea que tiene "hiddenmenu"
y cambias "timeout 3"  por la cantidad de segundos que quieres que se muestre el menú.

le pongo a la lista en el renglón ese un numeral más y no hace nada... lo dejo con 1 numeral solo y tampoco hace nada.. o sea queda igual.. no se.. lo que sí cambió es lo de los segundos... le pude poner 10 segundos y andubo..

lo del sudo grub install... lo hice cuando me dijiste la primera vez y me había dicho que se había instalado bien y ahora lo intento hacer de vuelta y me dice:

qué puedo hacer?

*nota: quiero recordar que puedo entrar a los dos sistemas operativos... o sea.. cuando está pasando lo de los 10 segundos que puse ahora (antes 3 seg.) puedo poner esc y puedo entrar a winchot.. pero no aparece el menú como debería...
